Great presentation. Nice job Karl.
I have nametags for those of you that registered "Yes", and with your full names (will be sorted alphabetically by last name at registration). See you tonight!
Set up a knowledge collection on Memcatch for the new Droid, got a little carried away: http://bit.ly/droidnotes
tech crunch did a pretty thorough job of breaking it all down, so I broke that into piece by piece. Also caught some other reviews, etc. in there. For me, biggest wow is the navigation, biggest disappointment is the camera. Due to android, now strongly considering a switch to Pandora (over Rhapsody for years) and Pixelpipe sounds promising for a camera/photo sharing app.
Bought a Verizon Droid on Friday. Great phone. After 5 years of using a (locked down by Verizon) Razr phone, I'm in heaven. With GPS, Accelerometer, compass, can't wait to program it.
Interested in talking about what apps everyone is using for their 2.0 and the pros/cons of developing for android over other platforms
oh yeah, i also have a desktop dock and car dock, so I can show how the DROID works in those situations
I'm planning on talking about some of the features from 1.5 and 2.0 I know best, which probably means Android Quick Search Box and how developers can plug into that. Let me know if there's anything else in particular you are interested in hearing about!
Jon Oberheide is bringing all of his mobile devices too, and doing a quick lightning talk on what his group is doing with all of them - Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm Pre, iPhone...
